Raku is a centuries old Japanese technique of firing pottery.  'Raku' means pleasure, happiness, contentment, and enjoyment.  Each piece I produce is handled individually throughout the process from raw clay to the finished pot, allowing a more intimate involvement with each pot.  I use a variety of techniques, glazes and firing methods  to produce my pieces.  Because of the unpredictability of the Raku firing process no two pieces are ever alike producing truly 'one-of-a-kind' pieces of pottery.

"I sincerely hope you will enjoy viewing these pieces as much as I did making them"!  -  Ron Aubuchon
